“You have questions?” Francis asked.
A voice to my right spoke up. “You spoke at one time about psychics and the information they give as being inaccurate for the most part. Can you enlighten us more on this subject?”
Francis gave His lovely chuckle, exuding warmth and love. “You have just spent a considerable amount of time contemplating the fire. Hum? Let us see here.”
Again, He watched the flames and we automatically joined Him. It was then I heard Him – but not in the room, surprisingly, I heard him in my head and later discovered we had all heard Him in our heads.
“Many psychics are unreliable but there are some who indeed have the capability to provide accurate information.
“This is attributed to the astral light, the psychic atmosphere that surrounds, and to some extent, interpenetrates this physical plane. The astral light is like a Universal memory tablet, if you will, a giant android.” He smiled and we laughed, then He continued. “It contains the records and images of everything from the past, as well as the future.
“However, with regards the future, the records and images are only for those things already sufficiently and definitely determined by one’s own Karma.
“Accuracy on the part of a psychic means an ability to see to a certain extent in the astral light. However, only an initiate or Adept has perfectly clear and reliable perception of everything they may need to see and know from all seven planes of the astral light. And, yes, to answer the question popping up in your minds at present, there are seven levels, planes or degrees of the astral light.
“Why would you believe it necessary to try to find out from others what your future holds? Why, it is so much worthier to attain that level of clarity yourself, is that not the goal of all who embody. Is that not the goal of all here?
“Whatever the future may hold is of your own making, and thus has to be faced calmly and confidently, knowing that everything proceeds according to Law and that ‘Law’ is perfect justice.”

ke next. “How does a soul know if he is still alive or whether he has passed on?”
“Heaven is a state of such perfect and all-encompassing bliss that the soul cannot identify with anything less. Why, if it did, it would no longer be in bliss.
“The earth plane is so different from bliss that just by looking at the world around you, is sufficient evidence that at present, you are certainly still alive on Earth.”
“But what about the astral, which is passed through between physical death and entering the state of Bliss?” asked another and Francis glanced at each person in the room individually.
“The vast majority who have passed over, only pass through the astral and in a predominantly unconscious state, and as such are not really aware of their astral surroundings. So this, too, should suggest to you that you are not in the astral currently.”
Contemplation of the fire seemed to take us to an altered state, and this state seemed to make us more receptive. It became easier the more we engaged in the practice, a bit like meditation.
“Is it possible for a soul to be born and live in the astral plane?” Came a question.
“The incarnations of a soul occur here on the physical plane and not on the astral or anywhere else,” came His reply. “So the answer really depends on what you mean by born.
“Don’t forget the astral is transitory – it is part of the cycle of birth, death and re-birth. So – no. And as far as an entire life, my first answer satisfies the second.”
