Healing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD Jigsaw Puzzle With Last Piece Saying PTSD
What is PTSD?
Many professionals will define PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder or syndrome) as a psychiatric disorder that is found in people who’ve experienced/witnessed traumatic events such as war, terrorist attack, natural disasters, physical abuse or rape as well as the threat of death, violence, serious injury or sexual violence.
I agree that those can all create PTSD, however, I work with people who also have PTSD and have not been through the above situations. I’m seeing people with such stressful work situations they are showing PTSD, this may be police officers who work in murder squads or sex abuse squads, paramedics etc, as well as those in emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationships, health traumas such as botched surgery or procedures or just the general health environment and of course challenging family environments. So basically, PTSD can be found in a huge array of places that we do not traditionally associate with PTSD, we truly need to be open-minded to the health of others, what affects one person may not touch another who has been through the same things.
How Does It Affect Us?
PTSD can affect people in different ways, however, there will be a trigger, which could be a smell, sound, word, person etc. Generally, though the effects are the same, the extremity of the attack may be different. PTSD sufferers cite panic attacks, sweating, nausea, flashbacks, disturbing thoughts, high levels of fear, insomnia, nightmares, depression, lack of confidence, problems with people or places that remind them of the original cause such as being in a car after being in a car accident or enclosed spaces if they’ve been trapped in a small space before. They may experience guilt, remorse or a sense of responsibility, even when it is beyond their control such as surviving when another person died. They may be irritable and have anger issues, they may feel isolated or feel they are a burden.
Can you imagine the impact those effects could have on a person’s life & health or the people in their life?
Living With It
Because we are all different, the way we live with things like PTSD will vary from person to person, one person may be able to hide it and manage it, and another person may need a high level of medical intervention or treatment. There is no need to live with PTSD, it can be released.
In the USA experts are working with war veterans and using a range of tools such as NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) to resolve PTSD. Obviously, we cannot change the past (unless you happen to have invented a time machine?) However, we can change how the past affects us now, what emotions it creates, our behaviour etc.
Beliefs of PTSD & Soul Fragmentation
There is a belief that you don’t have control, that things happen to you, not around you. There is an inability to process and release the original trauma, leaving you to relive the experiences but not to overcome them.
Imagine that a stranger uses your kitchen, they very kindly put your food shopping away and wash up for you so when you come home the kitchen looks clean & tidy. Next time you go in the kitchen you can’t find the mixing bowl or the nuts, because the person put things away in the wrong places. PTSD is similar – the brain files the memory in different parts of the brain instead of it being an intact memory in one place. So the sound will be in one place, the emotions somewhere else & the visual aspects in yet another place, each being triggered by different aspects of the original event.
Have you heard of Soul Fragmentation? When our soul is exposed to something traumatic such as a sudden death, a traumatic event, or travelling back too fast from the Astral Planes, another dimension or parallel universe, a fragment of the soul may stay in that life, using a shaman or the Akashic Records we can retrieve those fragments and make the soul whole again.
Healing PTSD
What I do with PTSD is bring all the pieces together again, and then I create what is known as an anchor which I do using a point on the body such as the clavicle (collar bone), it is loaded with positive emotions & memories & my client can press it anytime they like to activate the positive content which then floods their body will all the good hormones. I also then use a technique called Timeline Therapy to take them back to the originating event & we work to create an alternative view of it, we also ‘dial down’ their emotional memory of the event so it lessens the effect on them. Once I have changed the past state, outcome & memory, we can then remove any energetic ‘debris’ in their body. Finally using an NLP technique called The Swish Pattern, I get the client to swap between the past and who they wish to be or the behaviour they wish to have and I do that multiple times until their brain defaults to the new not the old.
Basically what we have done is re-file the sounds, emotions, pictures & any movement they experienced, replacing it with a whole one that becomes their default setting, this means they can now think & respond in a more empowering way instead of being limited by the old thinking & behaviour that controlled their responses.
Affected Chakras & Crystals For Healing
As with any emotional, physical & mental trauma, the chakras will be out of balance & need healing. The chakras most likely to be out of balance will be:
Root – security & certainty has been challenged
Solar Plexus – fear & emotional trauma
Heart – loss, hurt, loss of self-love, fear of love
Throat – inability to express themselves in any way
Crystals can be used to help rebalance the chakras, I would recommend the following ones:
Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Security & Certainty:
Red Jasper: Known for grounding energy and promoting feelings of stability and security.
Hematite: Helps with grounding and enhancing feelings of safety and protection.
Smoky Quartz: A grounding stone that can help release fear and bring in a sense of security.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Self-confidence & Personal Power:
Citrine: Often called the “Success Stone,” it is associated with confidence, abundance, and personal power.
Yellow Tiger’s Eye: Supports self-confidence, courage, and motivation.
Golden Calcite: Helps boost self-esteem and sense of worthiness.
Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Compassion & Emotional Healing:
Rose Quartz: Known as the “Love Stone,” it is associated with love, compassion, and emotional healing.
Green Aventurine: Supports emotional healing, heart-opening, and a sense of well-being.
Rhodonite: Helps with forgiveness, emotional balance, and fostering compassion.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – Clear Communication & Self-Expression:
Blue Lace Agate: Known for promoting clear communication and calming the mind.
Sodalite: Enhances self-expression and helps with honest communication.
Aquamarine: Supports clear communication and emotional healing.
When using crystals for chakra balancing, you can place them on the corresponding chakra area while lying down or meditating, carry them with you throughout the day, or wear them as jewelry. Remember that the effectiveness of crystals may vary from person to person, and they are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological treatment. If you are dealing with significant challenges related to these chakras or any other aspect of your life, it’s crucial to seek support from qualified healthcare professionals or energy healers.
Remember, crystals are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you or someone you know is dealing with PTSD or any mental health condition, it’s essential to seek support from qualified healthcare professionals such as therapists, counsellors, or psychiatrists who can provide appropriate guidance and treatment.
Alternative Healing
I also use hypnotherapy & Reiki within my sessions to help bring healing, it can be quite a simple process, I’ve had clients that have cleared their PTSD in one session.
It is possible to heal yourself, however, I think with conditions such as PTSD, people are very often simply not in the right place to heal themselves. If you or someone you know & love is suffering from PTSD & need help it is available. If you want to work with me, get in touch, you can call me, message me or simply book a Discovery Call directly using my online diary.
